• Acquire upper level, grad level textbooks in various Earth Sciences
• Ideally will acquire $2 Million/year (between 7 - 12 books)
• Have previous Acquisitions experience, ideally in hard science text books
• Be familiar with developing and maintaining a solid list of potential author contacts
• Need to travel up to 20% for conferences and campus visits
• Be creative, innovative, organized, results oriented individual
• Be involved in US and possibly some International Marketing efforts
• Conduct competitive research and analysis on similar industry products
• Work with colleagues regarding product development and marketing
• Be involved in various industry conferences as well as campus visits

Qualifications needed are:

• College degree
• 3-5 years editorial experience and/or hard science experience
• A degree in sciences is a plus but not required
• Sales and marketing experience is a plus
• Must have experience with Excel, MS Word, etc.

Textbook experience is key, many acquisitions will be in upper level, grad level arena.   Will acquire 10 books/year on average with value of $2 Million
