Our Client is seeking a very strong Director of Marketing for their college textbook program.
The ideal candidate for this position will:

Report directly to the VP/Publisher of Higher Ed

Manage a team of 5-10 people including 3 Marketing Managers

Be a strong leader with the skill to hire, train, motivate and develop a team

Be systems oriented with strong initiative and attention to detail
-
Ideally have experience using Salesforce.com or similar
sales oriented tools

Manage a $2.5 Million marketing budget

Develop and implement a 3 year marketing plan and report progress monthly

Work closely with the Higher Ed sales manager in supporting their team

Be responsible for overseeing the Higher Ed website

Monitor inventory of in print titles to maximize fill rates

Develop and implement pricing strategies
The candidate requirements for this position are:

Must be based in NY City

Must have had at least 4 years of marketing experience to higher ed markets

Must have at least 2 years of field sales experience to the higher ed markets

Must have a flair for public speaking as well as excellent writing skills

Must have a college degree
This client needs a strong leader that will step in and "OWN" this position.
They need to be smart, a fast learner and a system oriented thinker as well as a developer and trainer of people.
This is a high level marketing position with an industry leader in the Higher Ed publishing markets
