Our client is in need of a highly organized, detail oriented marketing manager for their Social Science Books program
This person will
-
Develop/execute marketing strategy for professional, reference and text books
-
Eventually be responsible for creating and tracking budgets
-
Be responsible for monitoring, tracking and reporting on individual
campaigns
-
Be involved in Marketing
to professors, libraries, researchers, practitioners, etc.

Be responsible for implementing and assisting in developing marketing campaigns
-
Ideally have experience with print, email and web marketing
-
Oversee 5-10 catalogs, 20 printed campaigns and many email campaigns each yr

Manage databases of products, marketing copy and potential customers

Work with colleagues regarding product development and marketing

Develop/implement plans to improve sales via exhibits and adoptions

Be a creative, innovative and strategic along with having a good eye for detail

Travel to various industry conferences, key campuses, bookstores and professors

Have partial oversight of a shared marketing assistant
Qualifications needed are
-
Previous Marketing/Sales Experience ideally in Social Sciences

At least a BS degree - ideally in Marketing or related disciplines

Being very goal oriented with strong interpersonal skills and initiative

Solid Knowledge of MS Office Suite - specifically Excel
This position is based in NY City and the person would need to be on site.
