		Description:	Our Client is in need of an experienced Publisher for this position managing their Environmental Sciences publishing program.   This person will: Have full managerial responsibility over a team of editors The team will acquire in Environmental Sciences, Earth Sciences and related areas Key subject areas will include Ocean & Atmosphere, Geology, Geophysics, etc. May also have dotted line managerial responsibility over some other editors Be tasked with training and developing their team Manage the budgets/goals for their team Manage a list of major reference works and well respected legacy titles Be responsible for a list with a $9 million lifetime value Handle $4 million - $6 million in acq's themselves + managing team Be familiar with developing and maintaining a solid list of potential author contacts Travel up to 30% for conferences, campus visits and meeting with remote AE's Be creative, innovative, organized, results oriented individual Be involved in US and possibly some International Editorial/Marketing efforts Conduct competitive research and analysis on similar industry products Qualifications needed are: College degree in Sciences is a HUGE plus Direct industry experience could offset need for a Science degree 5 - 7 years editorial experience and/or hard science experience Sales and marketing experience is a plus Must have experience with Excel, MS Word, etc.
