		Description:	Our Client is in need of an experienced Publisher for this new position managing their Life Sciences publishing program and acquiring in their Academic/Professional Reference Pharmaceutical program   This person will: Have full managerial responsibility over an international team of 8 people The team will acquire in Food Sciences, Nutrition, Ecology, Biomedical + related areas May also have dotted line managerial responsibility over some other editors Be tasked with training and developing their team Manage the budgets/goals for their team Manage a list of major reference works and well respected legacy titles Be responsible for team acquisitions with a $15 - $20 million lifetime value/yr. Handle $6M in acq's themselves ($4M is a large reference set) + managing team Be familiar with developing and maintaining a solid list of potential author contacts Travel up to 30% for conferences, campus visits and meeting with remote AE's Be creative, innovative, organized, results oriented individual Be involved in US and possibly some International Editorial/Marketing efforts Conduct competitive research and analysis on similar industry products   Qualifications needed are: College degree 3-5 years editorial experience and/or hard science experience A degree in sciences is a plus but not required Sales and marketing experience is a plus Must have experience with Excel, MS Word, etc.
