This person will be responsible for:

Calling on Foreign Language instructors at select Higher Ed accounts

Developing an understanding of each schools specific needs
-
Establishing good working relationships with current and potential customers
-
Conducting professional presentations to various educators within your territory
-
Traveling to visit clients/prospects on a selective basis (probably only 25% travel)

Effective utilization of telephone, e-mail and select visits to key locations for presentations

Utilizing MS Word, Excel, Office and SalesLogix database to manage the territory
-
Covering accounts/prospects in CO, WY, MT, NB, NM, KS and UT, but travel is only as needed
In addition to the responsibilities above, the ideal candidate will:

Have previous publishing sales experience with an educational publisher

Have a 4 year degree with a solid GPA

Have strong written and oral communication and leadership skills

Be highly organized and effective at tracking/reporting progress in their territory

Be a self starter and able to work independently
-
Ideally (but not required) have foreign language and/or teaching experience as well
